Tenant Reporting Optimum Compliance Initiative

2004 |

Currently within the industry, there is a big push to ensure that property managers are certifying their tenants and keeping that tenant data current within TRACS every year. HUD is currently stopping voucher payments unless a minimum of 25% of units on your voucher are showing active information in TRACS. Starting with the November voucher, this minimum of 25% will be enforced. HUD plans to aggressively increase this minimum percentage to 85% in the next 120 days. This increase will be a gradual one, however moving from 25% to 85% over the course of 4 months is still fairly aggressive. By the end of 2005, HUD plans to increase the minimum to 90%. By the end of 2006 the projected target will be 95%. The minimum of 95% will be considered Optimum Compliance.

HUD may decide to reverse/ amend any of the information at any time. Amendments may include changes to dates and/ or deadlines. Following the provided links will take you to documents that are external to the ACS Website. ACS does not attest to the accuracy of anything external to the ACS website.
